Causes of Premature Starter Failure
- Water Intrusion is Cause #1
- From Engine (Leaking exhaust manifolds, gaskets, etc)
- Oil Leak
- Overheating
- Slow Cranking
- Low Voltage at the starter B+ terminal
- Excessive current flow kills the starter. Low voltage results in lower starter rpm which increases current
- 📝 Starter and low voltage
- Low Voltage at the starter B+ terminal
- Prolonged cranking
- ‘S’ terminal is hanged on B+
- Ignition Switch
- Slow Cranking
